Jiles-Beam Music was formed in 1987. The company is owned by Lawton Jiles, and operated by himself, and his sons, Casey and Michael. Charles “Buster” Beam is the co-writer on many of the early songs performed by various Country artists. Lawton chose to honor his long time friend and co-writer Buster Beam by adding his name in the title.
The company is a publishing company specializing in country, and Christian music. The company has it’s own music label called Beam Records. The company has several writers on contract they contribute material and work on the independent market, as well as major labels. They also work in film, and recording industries, and in Nashville the Hub of country music.
Jiles-Beam Recording is a full service audio production facility service the needs of artists and songwriters for over 10 years. 8 of those years were spent working almost exclusively for artist, songwriter Lawton Jiles servicing his publishing company Jiles-Beam Music (BMI) producing high quality song demos to be sent to top artists and producers worldwide.
Outside recording projects are taken strictly by word of mouth. In 1993 Jiles-Beam Recording was moved to a larger facility and it was decided to open to the public. Jiles-Beam Recording is housed in a spacious air conditioned facility which includes a glased control room, large live room, and 2+ isolation rooms. The studio is centered around either ½ “ 8track or 1" 16 track analog tape machines, a modified Tascam console, JBL, Yorkville and Auraltone monitors and an evergrowing array of outboard gear and microphones.
